Are you seeking an exhilarating adventure surrounded by mountains? Look no further than Dahilayan Adventure Park in Mindanao! Nestled in the serene Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon, this park offers a wide array of thrilling and adrenaline-pumping activities suitable for the whole family.

Your visit to Dahilayan Adventure Park promises to be unforgettable, with a variety of attractions ranging from fun-filled outdoor activities to challenging obstacle courses. Last year, when travel restrictions eased, I had the opportunity to face my fear of heights and test my bravery with a group of friends at this unique tourist destination.

How to get to Dahilayan Adventure Park

To reach Dahilayan Adventure Park, you can opt for public transportation or the convenience of a rental car. If you choose public transport, head to the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) and inquire about buses bound for Malaybalay, Bukidnon. Fares range from P340 to P700 per person, with travel times of up to 7 hours.

Please note that bus schedules have been adjusted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so it’s wise to call bus operators to avoid long waits at the terminal.

Upon reaching Malaybalay, you’ll need to take a taxi to Dahilayan Adventure Park, which typically costs around P1,400 for the one-hour journey.

Alternatively, renting a car from Car Rental Davao offers a more convenient and time-efficient option. With this choice, you can cut your travel time in half, ensuring a smoother journey for you and your companions. Car Rental Davao provides a range of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and vans, for your convenience. They can deliver the vehicle to you in Davao or at the airport upon your arrival, providing a hassle-free start to your adventure.

Experience Asia’s longest dual zipline

First, prepare yourself for an exhilarating experience by conquering the 320m + 150m zipline, setting the tone for your Dahilayan Adventure Park visit. This thrilling ride serves as a prelude to Asia’s longest dual zipline, spanning 840m and soaring 4,700 feet above sea level.

As you zip through the air, surrounded by the refreshing breeze and towering pine trees, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the landscape. Upon completing the zipline, you’ll even receive a certificate, marking your achievement and adding to the thrill of the adventure.

Experience the curves and drifts of the Phyton Roller Zipride

The Python Roller Zipride is yet another thrilling activity offered at Dahilayan Adventure Park. This exhilarating ride takes you on a wild journey through the lush pine tree forest, covering a distance of 500 meters. As the ride drops, swings, and bounces, the adrenaline rush is undeniable, leaving me with a hoarse throat from all the screaming and excitement.

Experience the fun and thrill of Razorback Mountain Coaster

The Mountain Coaster, a popular ride in ski resorts across America and Europe, has made its way to Asia at Dahilayan Adventure Park. This thrilling ride offers an enjoyable experience, allowing you to enjoy the excitement without having to travel abroad.

Cool down in the Flying Lizard Canopy Glider

If you find yourself overwhelmed by the intensity of extreme activities, you can opt for a more relaxing experience aboard the Flying Lizard Canopy. Pedal along a high wire and take in the surrounding scenery to unwind and cool down. Despite its more relaxed pace, this ride is still fun and enjoyable.

Endure the Drop Zone

This activity is best enjoyed with a friend or partner. When Irish, one of my friends, and I tried it, I couldn’t describe the emotions I felt. My hands were shaking, and I was drenched in sweat the entire time. My whole body trembled with fear.

Having acrophobia made this a real challenge for me. I held onto Irish’s right hand tightly, as if my life depended on it. I felt like I would do anything to calm myself down.

Adding to the challenge, I had to pull the rope-like handle to free fall from a height of 120 feet into Dahilayan’s artificial lake. We screamed at the top of our lungs as we dropped and swung back and forth like a pendulum.

Try the Sky Tower Base Jump

If you’re looking for an even more thrilling experience than the Drop Zone, the Sky Tower Base Jump is a must-try. This activity involves voluntarily free-falling from an 8-story platform, and while it may look terrifying, it’s actually quite exhilarating.

I gathered all my courage to attempt the Sky Tower Base Jump. Unlike the Drop Zone, I was alone for this one, so there was no turning back. Surprisingly, my biggest fear was the height itself, not the actual descent, which turned out to be over in a split second.

As I leaped from the platform, I screamed at the top of my lungs. It was an incredible feeling, and I couldn’t believe I had actually done it. It was a moment of triumph over my fears, and I realized I’m not as much of a scaredy-cat as I thought.

Experience the park’s obstacle courses

The Rope Course at Dahilayan Adventure Park offers 12 stages of challenging obstacle rope courses, making it an ideal activity for team building. It’s designed to build courage, help conquer fear of heights, and enhance teamwork among participants.

Relax and bond with your family at Dahilayan Boot Camp

The Dahilayan Boot Camp, boasting the title of the largest inflatable obstacle course in the Philippines, offers 26 stages of fun and safe challenges suitable for families and friends seeking both relaxation and excitement. This expansive playground guarantees to bring smiles to both kids and kids-at-heart. My experience at Dahilayan taught me the importance of having the drive and courage to embark on adventures. It’s a reminder that by challenging ourselves, we can conquer our fears and discover new possibilities.
