Are you looking for a place surrounded by mountains where you can experience the fun and thrill of a lifetime? Well, we have it here in Mindanao! Head on over to Dahilayan Adventure Park to experience the thrilling and adrenaline-pumping activities

Situated in the peaceful Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon, Philippines, Dahilayan Adventure Park is the perfect spot to bring the whole family. Your trip to Dahilayan Adventure Park will surely be worthwhile and they have everything you are looking for: from fun-filled and extreme outdoor activities to exciting obstacle courses.

Last year, when travel restrictions were lifted, I got to test how brave I was when it comes to conquering my fear of heights. So I, along with a few friends, went to explore this one of a kind tourist attraction.

How to get to Dahilayan Adventure Park

To get there, you have to take public transportation. Head first to the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT), and go immediately to the ticketing booth and ask for a bus bound to Malaybalay, Bukidnon. Fare ranges from P340 to P700 per person for travel time lasting up to 7 hours.

The schedule of bus routes has been indefinitely changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please call bus operators to avoid waiting for long hours in the terminal.

Upon arrival at Malaybalay, you have to take a taxi to get to Dahilayan Adventure Park, which will cost you around P1,400 for another hour on the road.

All in all, you will have to allot at least 8 hours of travel time. Not the most convenient thing in the world I know, so luckily for you, there is another option.

Rent a car from Car Rental Davao and get to Dahilayan in no time and hassle-free. By doing this, you will cut your travel time in half.

Renting a vehicle is also best for travelers planning to bring their loved ones to ensure their safety, and we have all the available units for you: sedans, SUVs or vans.

Once selected, we can deliver the unit to you wherever you are in Davao, or if you’re a tourist travelling to the city, we can drop it off at the airport upon your arrival.

Experience Asia’s longest dual zipline

First you have to overcome the 320m + 150m zipline to get your blood pumping for Asia’s longest dual zipline. This is a perfect way to kick-start your Dahilayan Adventure Park adventures. Witness and appreciate the picturesque view of the whole area while ziplining through the 4,700 feet above sea level on an 840m long zipline.

Feel the fresh and clean air blowing on your face as you dash through the path surrounded by pine trees, and take pride here as you will be awarded a certificate when the ride ends.

Experience the curves and drifts of the Phyton Roller Zipride

Phyton Roller Zipride is another exciting activity in this adventure park. We had a lot of fun on this ride. My throat sore after screaming whenever the ride dropped, swung, and bounced us across the 500 meters of flourishing pine tree forest surrounding the adventure park.

Experience the fun and thrill of Razorback Mountain Coaster

Mountain Coaster is an enjoyable ride famous in ski resorts in America and Europe and it’s finally here in Asia through the Dahilayan Adventure Park. Who said you need to go outside the country when we already have it here?

Cool down in the Flying Lizard Canopy Glider

Suppose you are overwhelmed by the intensity of extreme activities. In that case, you can pedal along a high wire aboard the Flying Lizard Canopy to breathe in and out. At the very least, this ride will let you cool down. Plus it is fun, too.

Endure the Drop Zone

This activity is best enjoyed with a friend or with your partner.

Irish, one of my friends, and I tried this. I couldn’t explain the emotions I was feeling at that time. My hands were shaking, and I was soaked with my sweat all the time. Not to mention, my whole body was trembling.

I have acrophobia so it was a challenge for me to try this. I held on very tight to Irish’s right hand. I could have summoned all the deities that time just to make me feel at ease.

What’s more challenging, I was the one who had to pull the rope-like handle to free fall from a height of 120 feet into Dahilayan’s artificial lake. We were screaming our lungs out as we dropped from the top and swung back and forth like we were on a pendulum.

Try the Sky Tower Base Jump

If you want to try a much more heart-pumping activity than the Drop Zone, try the Sky Tower Base Jump. In this activity, you are going to jump to free-fall from an 8-story platform voluntarily, and it looks more terrifying than it actually is.

I mustered my strength to try the Sky Tower Base Jump. Unlike the Drop Zone, it wasn’t by pair so I had no choice but to do this myself. Honestly, I spent more time worrying about the height than the actual descent – which only lasted for a split second.

I screamed my lungs out as I jumped from the podium. I still couldn’t believe I managed to do it. Guess I am not a scaredy cat after all.

Experience the park’s obstacle courses

The Rope Course will let you go through 12 stages of obstacle rope courses, perfect for team building. This activity can help you build your courage, face your fears of heights, and improve teamwork.

Relax and bond with your family at Dahilayan Boot Camp

The Dahilayan Boot Camp is the largest inflatable obstacle course in the country, perfect for family and friends looking for a place to relax and have fun at the same time. The 26 stages of this fun-filled and safe playground will put smiles on the faces of kids and kids-at-heart.

There’s one thing I learned in our Dahilayan experience. It is to have the drive and courage to go on an adventure. Who knows what fears you can conquer out there, so go ahead and challenge yourself.
