Modes of Payment
Car Rental Davao does require a 50% deposit to reserve a car. We accept payments through the following:
- Banco De Oro
- Bank of the Philippine Island
- American Express
Age Requirement for Renters
Any Filipino at the age of 18 and above are free to rent a car at Car Rental Davao so long as they have a valid driver’s license. For non-Filipino renters, you may send us an email about underage driving restrictions prior to your arrival.
Claims and Accident
In case of damage or accident while driving any of our vehicle, first, reach out to the nearest Davao City Police station and file an Accident/Incident Report.
The renter is responsible for any and all loss of or damage to the car resulting from any cause including but not limited to collision, rollover, theft, tire damage and vandalism, medical condition, flood, fire, hail or other acts of nature.
Additionally, if we have the other party’s contact information, we will pursue them and/or their insurance company for our damages if determined they were at fault. However, our pursuit of the other party does not absolve you from your obligation with Car Rental Davao.
Other charges that could be incurred by the renter:
Loss of Use: As the renter, you are liable for the loss of the specific vehicle rented as detailed in our rental contract. When our car is unavailable to be rented, we are entitled to compensation for such loss.
Administrative Fee: Car Rental Davao has a legal entitlement to return vehicles to pre-accident condition which includes the indirect damage of expenses related to administering a claim.
Length of Rental
Reservations for less than one day are accepted, however a minimum charge of one day applies to rentals of less than 24 hours. In some cases, a minimum rental period is required for the selected rate to apply. In other cases, a rate may be associated with a minimum charge, which applies even if the car is returned early.
Available vehicles may be viewed through the Book A Car page. Please know that the rental is by first come, first served basis.
If you wish to cancel before your rental pick-up time, you must cancel and request a refund online. Once cancelled, we will credit you within approximately seven business days. Credits will be applied to the same card with which you prepaid. You will incur a $50 processing fee if you choose to cancel a prepaid reservation before the rental, and a $150 fee after the rental pick-up time has passed. If you return the vehicle before the original return date (early return), you will not be refunded any portion of the payment.
If you make a reservation without a credit card and you no longer need to rent, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible before your scheduled pick-up time.
