Drivers must be 21 to 80 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. The minimum age for foreign renters is 21. Foreign renters should also review the passport, license-translation and International Driving Permit requirements before booking.

Report any damage or accident to Car Rental Davao immediately. Follow our instructions, contact the local authorities and obtain the required police report.

For a covered vehicle-damage claim, the renter pays the deductible or excess shown in the HQ-generated Rental Agreement and all amounts not paid by the insurer. Neither the security deposit nor the deductible or excess is a limit on liability. If coverage is denied, limited or excluded because of the renter’s conduct or an Agreement breach, the renter remains responsible for the full resulting vehicle loss or damage, third-party claims and related costs not paid by an insurer or responsible third party. Loss of use is a separate renter cost while the vehicle cannot be rented.

Reservations for less than one day are accepted, however a minimum charge of one day applies to rentals of less than 24 hours. In some cases, a minimum rental period is required for the selected rate to apply. In other cases, a rate may be associated with a minimum charge, which applies even if the car is returned early.

Available vehicles may be viewed through the Book A Car page. Please know that the rental is by first come, first served basis.

Cancel before pickup and request a refund online. We process approved refunds within 24 hours, although your card issuer may take up to seven days to post the credit. Early returns do not receive a refund for unused rental time.

Refund schedule:

At least 14 days before pickup: 100% refund

7 to 13 days before pickup: 50% refund

Fewer than 7 days before pickup: no refund

A no-show results in loss of the security deposit.

Delivery is free throughout Metropolitan Davao. Davao International Airport service is off-airport delivery or meet-and-greet; Car Rental Davao does not operate an airport counter.

After-hours delivery fees

• 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: PHP 1,000
• 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: PHP 2,000
• The regular after-hours fee is waived for rentals of at least three days. The extreme after-hours fee is waived for rentals of at least five days.

There is no late-return grace period. Each hour or part of an hour after the scheduled return time is charged at the vehicle-specific Hourly Overage Rate shown in the HQ-generated Rental Agreement, capped at four hourly charges. After four hours, one additional rental day applies.

If the original vehicle becomes unsuitable or unavailable, we provide the same class or type, or a free upgrade.

All rentals include comprehensive vehicle insurance. The security deposit and any vehicle-damage deductible or excess are the amounts shown in the HQ-generated Rental Agreement. Neither is a limit on liability. For a covered claim, the renter remains responsible for the deductible or excess and all amounts not paid by the insurer. Medical coverage is not included unless purchased as an add-on and shown in the Rental Charges. Any purchased coverage is subject to its stated limit, policy terms and exclusions.

Additional driver: PHP 500/day for days 1–7, PHP 400/day for days 8–14 and PHP 300/day from day 15 onward. The rate never falls below PHP 300/day.

Child seat: PHP 500/day for days 1–7, PHP 300/day for days 8–14 and PHP 200/day from day 15 onward.

One-way rentals are quoted case by case. Pets are considered case by case based on the animal’s size and the vehicle.

There is no standard cleaning fee. Separate charges may apply for smoking, foul odors, excessive cleaning or damage.

Travel within Mindanao is allowed subject to the rental agreement. Samal and other islands treated as part of the Mindanao service area are also allowed. The inter-island restriction applies to leaving Mindanao unless Car Rental Davao approves it in writing.
